Night Light X for Seniors

Sleep changes with age — lighter, more fragmented, with more bathroom trips and more chances to fall in a dark hallway. Night Light X is built to make those realities easier with a friendly clock, simple controls, warm light, and the kind of sound that supports the deeper sleep older adults often miss.

A large, friendly bedside clock

The clock widget in Night Light X gives you a high-contrast time display that's readable across a dark room without reaching for glasses. Several styles are available — minimal digital, classic analog, bold mono — pick the one that's easiest to read for you.

Safe path lighting

Up at night for a bathroom trip? A soft amber or red glow from the phone lights enough of the path to keep you steady on your feet without flooding the room (or waking you up fully). Place the phone on the nightstand or on the floor by the bed for the most useful angle.

Pink noise for deeper sleep

Some intriguing research suggests pink noise may particularly help slow-wave (deep) sleep in older adults — the sleep stage that tends to decrease as we age. It's worth a try: it's free, it's gentle, and many people sleep deeper through the noisy parts of the night.

Simple controls, no learning curve

Night Light X is designed to be operable with a single tap: pick a color, pick a sound, set a timer, done. No accounts to remember, no subscription to manage, no menus to dig through. If you're setting it up for an elderly parent, just choose their preferences once and they'll be reachable from the home screen.

For family members: Pre-configure the app for a parent or grandparent before handing it back. Set their default color, sound, and timer; bookmark the lock screen widget. After that, it's just "tap the moon icon at bedtime."
